Mr & Mrs Macbeth

Mr & Mrs Macbeth
Calling all members of the armed forces and their families!

Farnham Maltings are commissioning a new play inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Kevin Dyer, an Artistic Associate at Farnham Maltings, will be writing the play – a story of a man coming home from war, his wife waiting for him, and what it’s like when they see each other again after all that time.

We are hoping to work with a group of members of the armed forces and their families for the research and development stages of the new play we will be commissioning.

Kevin is interested in having a conversation with people for about 20 minutes or half an hour about their lives.

Please contact Julia at julia.clague@farnhammaltings.com for more information or to express interest in this exciting project.

opportunity: call-out for Artist Development project at Brighton Dome

Here’s a great opportunity from our friends at Brighton Dome. Take a look at the details below!

The Works, Artist Development Opportunity – Brighton Dome

The Works is a cross-art form scratch event, which enables artists to explore a combination of genres in their creations, at an early stage in their development. We are interested in helping artists test work they think is innovative and cross-disciplinary in front of a supportive audience who are interested in artists’ processes.

Artists are invited to submit applications for The Works events taking place on Wednesday 9 November and Monday 8 December. December’s will be part of our earsthetic programme, and intends to showcase more visual and sonic led performance work in particular.

Find out more about each of the upcoming sessions, and how to apply at the Brighton Dome website.

The application deadline for both events is Thursday 9 October.
