Over the past 10 years, Farnham Maltings have built a reputation for supporting the ambitions of independent theatre makers across the South East by providing advice, support, investment, and latterly; producing the work of a number of companies including Little Bulb Theatre, Victoria Melody, Catherine Ireton and Up In Arms. This work has grown from a belief that we can achieve far more if we support the ambitions of others. And we continue to make our own work – primarily for village halls, and explore other ways we can strengthen the region’s capacity to make and show contemporary theatre.
Since 1969 Farnham Maltings has operated as an arts and community centre. We host a range of festivals, manage 20 studios and have a thriving programme of performance and workshops. Over the past few years we have begun to provide a range of cultural services across the borough of Waverley including supporting Cranleigh Arts Centre, running a set of studios in Godalming and after school arts clubs on a number of housing estates. More recently we have taken on additional responsibility for the Museum in Farnham and co-ordinate the Arts Partnership for the 11 boroughs of the County.
