Aside from the companies and artists we support we make our own work, either entirely or in collaboration with others.
This work draws on the experience and enthusiasms Gavin Stride has for making work in non-theatre spaces; usually in village halls. Mostly new writing, although we have also mounted international pieces, the work often feels more like an event than a play with national tours reaching rural communities. Our sense is that the dynamic between ourselves and the companies we work with shifts because they see us struggling with the same challenges. We make work because we love making work and feel that we have something to say. At most, we make two productions a year which tour to around 40 communities.
