about the pitch
This Is Not A Safe Space is a new solo show featuring the real voices of ‘proper skint’ disabled people about the complicated weirdness of being human. Jackie interviewed over 80 people on benefits living in the North of England about thier lives, and mixes these recorded testimonies with live performance and DiY puppetry. Expect audience interaction, poetic comedy, comedic poetry and one underclass amputee steering the show.
