no strings attached is a grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of performance. Grants of between £500 and £1,000 are available to young people from across the south east region. The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. In partnership with Unlimited, we are able to offer grants to support disabled and non-disabled artists at an early stage of their career, and we’re especially excited about work which will reach audiences that don’t usually go to the theatre.
Applicants can apply as an individual or as part of a group. Should you be successful you will also be paired with a professional mentor.
Please find more detailed information from 2016 here.
If your project is suitable you will be invited to present your idea to a panel of arts professionals and young people. Please note places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
The 2017 applications will open in early summer 2017 and the panel is usually in September or October.
