As well as producing a biennial showcase, caravan also offers a series of training and professional development events throughout the year.

A series of monthly, lunchtime webinars for artists and producers designed to share knowledge, approaches and tips about working internationally.

Each session will be hosted by Farnham Maltings’ International Projects Producer Hannah Slimmon with a panel of guest speakers with extensive international experience. All the webinars will be recorded and made available here after the session.

Introduction to working internationally
caravan showcase mentor Gary Hills and International Projects Producer Hannah Slimmon discuss the key things you need to consider when thinking about working internationally, including how to determine if you’re ready. Expect some top tips and ideas for further reading.

Creating your international strategy

In this session we will look at different approaches to planning ahead. We’ll discuss whether planning is a good idea, how to get started and how to stay on track. Guest speakers include Louise Blackwell (independent producer & co-founder of Fuel), and Selina Thompson (independent theatre-maker)
