Professional Stranger (working title) is about Victoria’s attempts at becoming a stand-up comedian. Vic has been immersing herself into the British amateur stand-up comedy world, and using an EEG headset and with technology that shows in in real time what happens to the brain when you tell jokes.
She has also been working with a creative technologist and neurologist to see the effects of laughter on the brain.
The work is currently in development following a residency at Watershed Pervasive Studios and a couple of work in progress sharings at the V&A’s Theatre & Performance festival. We hope to preview the finished show later in 2020. For more information please email Laura Woodward.
