Victoria Melody studied her post-graduate in fine art at Chelsea College of Art in 2001. Since then, she has been creating humorous and thought-provoking work that appeals to a wide audience. Her unusual ethnographic approach to art practice straddles visual arts, performance and theatre. A treasure trove of films, photos and paraphernalia accompany Victoria’s adventures in her comedic, engaging and hopeful performances.
Victoria has presented her work nationally and internationally at venues including Artsway, New Forest; Centre for Contemporary Art, St Petersburg; Millais Gallery, Southampton and Arts Claims Impulse Gallery, Berlin.
She worked with her director Ursula Martinez to premier her show ‘Northern Soul’ to sell out audiences as part of Brighton Festival 2011.
Her current show, Hair Peace, is touring nationally March – June 2016.
